RILEY JACOPS

Wrestling Coach

  • Riley Jacops grew up in Austin, Texas and started wrestling in 4th grade. Riley was one of the first 3F Wrestling athletes and started competing and training at the club in 2010 under William McKinney and Martin Strmiska. At Vandegrift High School, Riley was a 4X District champion, 4X Regional Champion, 4X State placer, 2X State Finalist, and State Champion on a team that won two district and regional team titles and placed 7th at the State Tournament. Outside of the scholastic season, Riley trained and competed in Freestyle and Greco for 3F Wrestling where he was a Greco State Champion, 2X Freestyle State Champion, and Western Regional Greco and Freestyle Finalist. After graduating from Vandegrift, Riley enrolled at Columbia University in New York City to join their wrestling team where he was a two-year starter. Riley moved back to Austin after graduating from Columbia in April 2021 to work in software and enjoys coaching wrestling, working out, practicing yoga, surfing, and snowboarding.
